1970 Selmer Mark VI Alto Sax – M1745XX
Lovely 1970 Mark VI.
Original lacquer at around 85%. Some of the photos make the lacquer look different colors due to my poor photography skills. The photos that show the horn as a deeper gold color most accurately depict the color as seen in person. Lacquer wear on the bell from a sax stand. Some acid bleed at the righthand thumbhook.
This horn came to me with the original pads. I replace the neck octave pad, and the G#, A, B, Bb and C pads.
The neck octave guide is slightly dented into the neck and the neck has some slight pulldown.
Comes with the original Traypack zipper case and cover. The case has room for clarinet and flute. The case is in very good condition, but the end handle is missing and the zipper is sluggish.
I replaced a few pads to put it into playing condition so that it can be testplayed. The supposition is that the new owner will want to have the horn repadded.
Shipping is not included in the price. Don’t try using the webpage “shopping cart”. If nothing else, I will have to calculate the shipping cost.
As of this writing (March 25, 2017) I also have a Mark VI Tenor in stock.
